“We locked in the first venue we saw… It was just everything we wanted! A mix of nature and the outdoors, rustic but chic, cosy and romantic. Plus the ability to host a wintery candlelit feast, both the Epicurean and Cambium are filled with fireplaces. Both properties are truly beautiful, Charlie and I resonate with anything slightly old – the Cambium felt nostalgic and super romantic. The Cambium hosted our families and entire wedding party for the weekend. The property was like a fairytale and perfect for a weekend away as well as a ceremony. The Epicurean was also brilliant – it provided the best type of blank canvas for us to transform and style into our dream wedding – but the best part of all about that place, the food – we knew it would be amazing and it certainly was. People are still going on about it!”
Unique wedding idea: tomahawk steaks by the fire
“We knew we wanted a proper feast, Game Of Thrones vibes – big tomahawks, log-burning fires, wine, candles. We wanted to feel like the king and queen and we certainly did. It needed to be super intimate – ‘be present, live long and slow’ was one of the vows Charlie and I made to each other, and I think our wedding weekend entirely captured that feeling.”

“The draping and use of fabric was a detail I knew I wanted from the start. The way the fabric folds is so romantic, it set the mood entirely. The softness of the drapes mixed with the glow of the fireplaces was just perfect. Charlie and I share a love for winter – he lights a fire every day, and we sit together in the amber light very happily.”

“I had a vision right from the start and when I tried on what I thought was THE dress, it just wasn’t. So I had to start again… When I finally got to The Bridal Curator, I felt huge relief. It was the first time I couldn’t decide what I liked most. The minute I tried on the pleated skirt by Alon Livne, my mum, sister and I fell absolutely in love. I paired the skirt with a corset from a different designer, Divine Atelier – I preferred that combination. But the look wasn’t complete until we added the sleeves; that beautiful sheer fabric with the cuff created the most romantic, flowy effect. Very in line with my overall aesthetic and love of fabric. I wanted to feel beautiful, sexy and ethereal all at once.”

“We created the most intimate, romantic space most people had ever stood in – it completely lifted the mood. To this day, people still talk about how incredible the setting was.”
