Gillian and Peter sure have mighty fine taste, folks! Buckle up, because their vendor list is a doozy and the duo were stoked with each and every one. Travelling flower lady Film and Foliage was on florals whilst The Wilderness Chef cooked up a campfire storm. For details on the brides cute collared dream gown and more darling snaps by Barefoot & Bearded, you best get scrolling…

FAVOURITE DETAILS “Ash from Film and Foliage absolutely amazed us with her styling and flowers. My bouquet was perfect and she made the garden come to life. We had our long lunch/reception under a flowering blossom tree in the garden. The immaculate styling of the lunch table under the blossom tree was one of the first things we saw as we walked down the aisle and it took my breath away.”

THE DRESS “I am a bit of a vintage lover and had my eye on Forever Vintage’s Instagram account for a while. I finally bit-the-bullet and booked a fitting with Casey and her team. However, I was worried that I had no contingency if Forever Vintage didn’t work out, so, while I waited for my appointment to come, I tried on some more ‘traditional’ gowns. Being a size 12-14, I found the experience of being squeezed into a size 10 sample gown, or clamped into a size 18 and told to just ‘imagine’ what my size would look like a little uncomfortable. I should have just trusted my gut and Forever Vintage. Casey and her team were absolutely AMAZING and made me feel so comfortable with myself, my choices and my body. The one I finally chose was from the 1940s and looked average off the rack. I originally did not want to try it on, as it had a high collar and short sleeves, however, Casey advised me to trust her and give it a go. The fit was perfect and it made me feel fantastic. My mum and friend told me that the look of joy on my face told them that this was the one for me.”

REFERENCES “Pete and I did not want a big wedding. We didn’t want to spend a fortune, yet we still wanted something classy and stylish. We discovered Anteloping through Hello May. I instantly thought, ‘this is what I want’ but did not think our budget would allow for it. After some research and our first meeting with Anteloping to discuss our options, there was no turning back. The Anteloping team were not only my key vendors but my dream vendors.”

FAVOURITE MOMENT “It would not be me if I didn’t mention food and Cooper from The Wilderness Chef deserves ALL the accolades. We love food that celebrates local produce and I feel our values completely align with what Cooper is all about. His brief was that we liked locally-sourced share-table food, and our favourite cuisines were Mexican or Lebanese influences and citrus for dessert. He cooked up an absolute storm for us on the day, utilising local Tasmanian produce. He also managed to feed a table of diverse dietary requirements – what a guy!”

WE’RE GLAD WE “We are really glad we stuck to our guns and eloped with our close family and friends. We truly have no regrets and loved everything about our day. In saying this, we are also glad we had a big engagement party where we invited all our friends, family and colleagues, most of whom knew about our plans to elope, so made the effort to come.”
