An M.J. Bale suit, French designer bridal gown, earrings from Carte Blanche Bride and one of our fave lens ladies behind the camera, Fox & Kin, this wedding had all the good things to make it great. And boy was it ever! Scroll down for all the pics and deets from our chat with the couple, of course…

LITTLE LOL “The day before, when we were setting up the tables in the marquee, I had carefully prepared all our greenery decorations in vases and 125 (!) little sprigs of olive leaves for the napkins. But didn’t consider the fact that plants in a clear-roofed marquee on a thirty-degree day will literally roast to a crisp. So after murdering all of our greenery, I had to re-do them all again, with the help from some lifesaver friends who kept me sane. I’ll never look at olive leaves the same again.”

THE VIBE “We didn’t really have a theme, mostly just wanted to make sure everyone was relaxed, fed, watered, and ready to dance! Being on the farm we had a lot of earthy colours and woods but ultimately were inspired by ensuring all our friends and family had a great day celebrating our love.”

FAVE DEETS “The marquee and outdoor setting on the farm was perfect. The clear roof and fairy lights were magical and we had a breakout area outside under the festoon lights which served as a peaceful retreat when people needed a break from the dancing. The flowers were just stunning and perfectly suited the location and I also really loved my earrings! I’m not big on accessories so wanted to keep it simple, and I loved these delicate flower earrings [from Carte Blanche Bride] as soon as I saw them.”

THE SUIT “I always had dark grey in mind and was simply looking for something that fit well and looked good. We all went on a big shopping day together in Sydney city, we already knew we were all bad shoppers with short attention spans so ensured there was a couple of beer breaks throughout the day. The main surprise in my shopping was the tie, initially looking for orange or green, I ended up going with a white and cream, textured M.J. Bale tie [to go with the M.J. Bale suit] that made me feel like a standout and matched Esther’s dress, never looked so good.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “Nour photographer Nic, of Fox & Kin, was the hero. All of our guests thought she was just one of our mates because she fit in so well. She made everything so easy, was always professional but super chill, and had all sorts of great advice. The photos are unbelievable! Also, our florist, Meg [of Gingermegs] was a legend. Her service was seamless (including a much needed “how to” guide for the boys’ buttonholes) and all the florals turned out exactly as we imagined.”
