These two angelic souls met over ten years ago working at a family Italian restaurant. Great mates for a year, they bonded over chicken nuggets sneakily consumed during shifts. As the big day rolled around, Emily and Stephen were channelling springtime roses and midnight club sandwiches. Pretty bloody wholesome, right?! There are plenty more sweet details where these came from so be sure to scroll down to peep them all including the most dapper Oscar Hunt clad groom and his M.J. Bale sporting groomsmen. Jess Tremp of Brown Paper Parcel was there to snap it all…

THE VIBE “Bringing the ‘Euro’ to Euroa! Inclusive, warm country ambience with a touch of Tuscan flair. A combination of Steve’s country heritage and me being an absolute francophile!”

FAVOURITE DETAILS “Roses always hold a special place in my heart as they remind me of my Mum and how she loved spending time in the garden. One of the reasons we chose to be married on the cup weekend of November was because we were told the Butter Factory garden would ‘be really popping!’ Ame [Raven & The Rose] did an incredible job nailing the ‘gathered from the garden’ brief by incorporating some of Dad’s beautiful garden red roses from home into our bouquets and adding the most beautiful roses and bold peonies (my Mum’s and Pa’s favourite flower too) to our special bouquets, arrangements and wedding cake. This bright, peachy spring theme carried throughout to our signage, invites and table settings which featured vintage botanical imagery of peonies, roses and proteas as designed by my talented friend Kate.”

DIY “We were so lucky to have such a talented, creative and generous tribe around us. A special tradition I have with one of my girlfriends is pizza and wine nights with classic power ballad tunes whilst making candles. She kindly made 120 beautiful handmade candles as gifts for all our guests which paid tribute to our surrounds on the day. They featured the scents of the native Australian bush, my favourite brew, chai latte and a floral garden scent.”

REFERENCES “I may have purchased a bumper edition of Hello May before I was even engaged… We loved reading other couples stories, favourite vendors and key advice in Hello May and doing lots of research online and via Instagram. We also attended One Fine Day bridal fair, twice, to get ideas and that’s where we met our celebrant Damon over a glass of bubbly!”

FAVOURITE MOMENT “[Stephen] My Em is an amazing flautist so we organised with our band towards the end of their set to call her up on stage ‘Anchorman style’ to play a surprise flute solo in the form of the stone-cold classic Toto ‘Africa’. Seeing my new bride smashing out a power flute solo in her wedding dress as the crowd went wild is something I’m sure we’ll be telling the grandkids in years to come!”
