Under the ruse of the Anzac Day Dawn Service, Chris popped the question beachside in front of a beautiful sunrise. Sounds just as dreamy as their wedding was and we have all the details (as well as pics by the talented Damien Milan) below. Don’t miss who the gorgeous dress was by (bought from none other than Sydney’s Love Marie Bridal Boutique and the Baker Boys Band who bought the fun factor up a whole lotta levels. OK, scroll down, friends…

LITTLE LOL “We lost one of the groomsman’s pants somewhere along the way in the week leading up to the wedding and Emily lost her wallet the day before the wedding! Found it in the folded t-shirts section of our wardrobe. Mind was obviously somewhere else!”

THE VENUE “We live nearby and spend a significant amount of our time in Coogee, down at the beach or somewhere along the coastal walk. We also got engaged on the northern headland of Coogee, not far from where our wedding reception was. Wylie’s Baths Coogee was perfect for us as it had a mix of covered and open space, and an absolute killer view of our most favourite place in the world. We also loved the idea of travellers being able to take in this beautiful part of Sydney.”

FAVE DETAILS “Our florist, The Ivy League, worked absolute magic. Emily spoke with Carla about wanting natives and earthy colours, and then let Carla go with whatever she thought would look good. It was absolutely stunning! And our photographers Damien Milan and Anastasia were also so wonderful to work with and made us feel so comfortable and happy.”

THE DRESS “The dress is Chosen by One Day from Love Marie Bridal Boutique. It was the third bridal dress store I went to and I knew as soon as I walked in I would find something I loved. Amy was so lovely and knew exactly what I was looking for. She also had (by far!) the largest selection and let me try on as many as I wanted. I went back for a second try on as I couldn’t decide between three dresses, but I knew that this was the one from the start as I wanted a classic look.”

WE’RE GLAD WE… “Didn’t do an entrance, we didn’t do a formal ‘cutting of the cake’, and we didn’t have a bridal party table. Instead, we wanted to mingle with our friends and family and enjoy the night with them.”

STANDOUT VENDORSDamien Milan and Anastasia were just so wonderful, happy, and calm, and we cannot thank them enough. The epic hair and make-up crew of Sarah J Hair & Makeup and India (of Makeup by IVD) made the girls feel absolutely glamorous. And our amazing florist, The Ivy League just topped off the perfect day with the most beautiful floristry we have ever seen.”
