Together for six years, Elle and Aaron enjoyed an 18-month engagement which allowed them plenty of time to knock up this delight of a day. A whole host of HM vendors were present to pull it off. There was Pot & Pan on catering, Grace Loves Lace on veil duty and Pepper Sprout Hire on chairs and the like. The delish triple-tiered Lamington cake was courtesy of Miss Ladybird Cakes whilst the legalities were dealt with by lovely lady Zena Lythgo Celebrant. Whew! What a lineup. THE VENUE “I did all my research online. I must have looked up hundreds of wedding venues but none of them felt quite right. As soon as I came across Glasshaus and Gather and Tailor I was besotted. I couldn’t sleep because I literally planned the whole wedding in my head visually without actually seeing the venues in person. The next morning I woke Az up eagerly and said, “I’ve planned our wedding, let’s go look at these venues!”. As soon as we saw them in person, they felt like us, and the decision was easily made.”

FAVOURITE DETAIL “I was obsessed with our reception setup; the cake on the bar cart, the florals on the floor in gold frames surrounding it and the neon pink sign saying “The Mulletts”. My jaw actually dropped when I saw it all come together. My florist [Edward and I] was incredible!!”

THE DRESS “My dress was my own design. I didn’t go and try on any wedding dresses because I knew I wanted something different. I love extravagant sleeves so I definitely wanted to incorporate that. I also get a red rash over my chest, shoulders and neck when I’m nervous/anxious so I had that in the back of my mind. I took inspiration from a couple of photos I found online. It took around 4 months to make. Tania Stokes, my dressmaker, was incredible. She just got my vision instantly and made it even better than I could have imagined. I loved everything about this experience. There was a bit of a hiccup with my material in which the wrong colour was ordered, so we ended up changing the lace completely which actually worked out for the better because it had amazing pearl and beaded detail which really stood out.”

FAVOURITE MOMENT “After we cut our cake, we had the bar staff hand shots of Tequila (my favourite) and Fireball (Aaron’s favourite) to all of our guests including us. They toasted to us and we toasted to them. It was a bit cheeky and fun, which pretty much sums up our day.”

WE’RE GLAD WE “Introduced our bridal party at our ceremony and went into detail about why they were chosen to be a part of it. It was a really nice touch and made them feel even more special.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “Definitely our Celebrant [Zena Lythgo Celebrant], Photographer [Daniel Milligan], Videographer [Apertura Studios] and florist [Edward and I]. They made everything so easy and fun. They just got us as a couple.”
