As the owner of one of our fave stationery businesses, Winterwoods Designs (learn more about them here), it’s no wonder that Eliza (and her husband-to-be, Dylan) were more than capable of putting together an amazing team of vendors.
Having done the event styling and stationery herself, Eliza had her work cut out for her, hiring Poppies For Grace, The Mountain Folk Films and Willow & Co to take care of the rest.
“We felt very lucky as all of our vendors were amazing! Grace and Tim (Willow and Co.) and Dimity & Jefferton (The Mountain Folk Films) were the sweetest, loveliest people to have around us. They were so easygoing and helpful and they all delivered work that we’ll always treasure,” explains Eliza, who wore a beautiful Lover gown during their nuptials at The Carrington (with tunes supplied by We Play Records).
“We wanted a place that reflected ‘us’ – nothing fancy or traditional and I guess we were always holding out for a venue that was in the Blue Mountains. Dillon visited the Brewery which is part of The Carrington Hotel with friends and straight away texted me saying he’d found the place’. As soon as I saw it I loved it too,” says the bride, adding that they learned quite a bit throughout the planning process.
“Just do the things that you both want to do. Make the day a reflection of you both so you only have really wonderful memories and don’t have any regrets. Try not to take too much on and have it all prepared before the day so that you can try to relax on the day.”
