When Leighton proposed to Carrie by way of a private, lakeside lunch while on safari in Kenya, she knew she’d hit the jackpot. “Tears, laughs and a big yes!’ followed and the rest is history!” explains Carrie. Opting for a laid-back, low-key day (that went for only four hours) this pair handed their vision over to Olivia of The Palace Co who took care of almost everything. From the decor, styling and furniture, Carrie and Leighton were blown away her “out-of-this-world style, incredible props and amazing dedication”.
Amongst the many talented vendors involved in their celebration, Zoe Morley Photography was also a stand-out. Capturing each and every detail from the beautiful bunting, the scenery and the snacks, Zoe did an amazing job. “She was so incredibly easy to work with, understood us and the vibe we were going for, and encouraged us to be ourselves,” the couple tells us. “She communicated quickly, was 100% hassle-free, was seriously delightful on the day, and most of all, captured moments that we will treasure until we’re old and grey!”
Through it all, Carrie and Leighton remain advocates of having no regrets, as their day was all that they could have hoped for and more. “We’re so glad we listened to our gut instincts. That we braved a Gold Coast winter’s day. That we involved our family. That because we didn’t put pressure on ourselves to create the perfect day’, our actual wedding was 100% not stressful at all. Everything went so smoothly and we got to just laugh and enjoy it all.”
