These two loved-up ladies literally had two guests at their intimate elopement (their witnesses), and Britt and Phoebs wouldn’t have it any other way. They also describe marriage as “You have someone to wipe away the tears, laugh at your terrible puns/ jokes and someone to scratch that itchy spot on your back that you just can’t get to” and we can certainly get behind that. The Barefoot Photographer got the good times on camera (as well as Brittany’s glorious Alca Line Bride gown) and we chatted to the gals to get the down-low on their day. You’ll find it all below…

THE VENUEParry Beach Breaks was only our second venue we looked at in person! We had done a bit of research online and without actually saying anything to each other, I think deep down, we both knew that it was going to be where we got married. When we arrived at Parry Beach, it was love at first sight (corny, we know).”

FAVE DETAILS “We were both BLOWN away by the florals by Lush Floral Designs. They were so breathtaking! We still have the florals in our house and they look just as magical dried as they did on our wedding day! The weather! It was raining, cold and downright miserable pretty much all day, right up until the eleventh hour… the sun peeped through the clouds and the rain stopped, just in time for our small ceremony. Then it started raining when we were having photos done, but we just didn’t care! We went along with it all and it was so special. Our celebrant, Katie Sinclair, was so lovely, warm and relaxed. Many people who watch our wedding videos, actually think she’s one of our close, long time friends – she fit the vibe of our wedding beautifully! We loved having her be a part of our special day.”

DIY “We did all the catering ourselves and got the pulled pork in the slow cooker ready to go along with the brownies in the oven for dessert! Champagne and croissants for breaky and the day was set! We’re so glad we did this – it ended up saving us a lot of money and it was delicious!”

THE DRESS “I (Brittany) came across the Brooke dress by Alca Line Bride and contacted Amy via Instagram to see if she had any stockists in Perth. She was having a trunk show at NOA Bridal and suggested I try on the Lydia dress. As I put it on, my heart fluttered and I knew this was my dress!”

THE SUIT “I (Phoebe) knew I wanted to wear a feminine, black, slender power suit! I somehow came across Shane Ave on my socials and noticed they were coming to Perth for a trunk show so I booked a time. Low and behold COVID stopped that trip and all contact and measurements with Deb (Shane Ave) were done via Facetime… Deb was amazing and we came up with exactly what I was hoping for, including the shirt! After sending off my final measurements, three months later, the Shane Ave box arrived at my door!”

MEMORABLE MOMENT “Doing our first look together, privately. It felt so special. Walking towards Phoebe, I couldn’t stop happy crying. She took my breath away. She looked absolutely beautiful. I’ll never forget that. I felt an instant wave of calm, as though I was right where I needed to be.. about to marry my person.
