Just your casual Parisian proposal (featuring cheese and wine of course) saw lovers Britney and Damo engaged just three days into their six week Europe trip (what a way to start)!
Naturally they pair were just about as in love with Europe as they were with each other, so it came as no surprise when they decided to bring a little piece of Tuscany (meets French provincial) back home – and into their wedding day. “We are both in love with France and the French lifestyle and we wanted to create something similar that made us feel like we were abroad,” said Britney. Fortunately for the pair, they discovered Red Leaf on Stayz, the perfect combination of Tuscan meets French style. To further create the Euro style, Britney and Damo enlisted the creative culinary work of Fennel & Co, Britney adding that her lovely mother in law, Anne helped with the delicious grazing table.
The bride mentioned one of her favourite moments of the day was during the couple’s first dance, however things didn’t quite go to plan…”unfortunately the power cut out about 20 seconds into our song, but, next minute all of our guests started singing our song again and we continued to dance without lighting. Our photographer Joel kept doing circles around us flashing his camera so there was periodic lighting and it was just so magical!”
Joel of course was the one and only Barefoot and Bearded, a total pro (and man don’t these gorgeous photographs say just that!)
With the help of florist Lauren Wallington, the elegant colour scheme carried right through to the photo props, including a rather gorgeous hanging wreath for guests to take happy snaps with, not to mention those epic flower crowns!
As far as advice for fellow and future couples planning their special day, the pair had this to say, “Try to delegate jobs, it will make your life easier!”
