We love a bride who isn’t afraid of colour, or in this case, holographic fabrics, glitter, sequins and neon! Unlike anything we’ve ever seen, Angela and Brent’s wedding is one for the books. As a fashion designer (who’s currently working for Aussie icon, Akira Isogawa) Ange created a truely magical (and totally non traditional) gown, the bride adding, “I think Brent was secretly petrified of my dress, he knows i’m a little weird and it would be covered in sequins!”

With a ‘just go with it’ attitude, the couple discovered the coastal venue Bushbank, on Sydney’s south coast. “It had the whole rustic feel which Brent Loves and it had the sea, perfect.” With a team of awesome vendors, most of whom were friends of the couple, (handy), the pair set about creating a fun filled day their guests would enjoy and remember.

With Dean Snushall Photography there to capture the day, the bride mentions she let her vendors go free rein when it came to the creative stuff, “I let the Wildflower Florist girls do whatever they wanted, my bouquet was so phenomenal! Same with Taz’s Treats with the cake, I trusted her to give us something amazing. We let Jae Haydon pick whatever songs he wanted and it became like a mini festival!”

When it comes to offering advice to future newlyweds and bride/grooms to be, Ange had this gem of advice, “Try and get to know (your vendors) involved a little. It makes it easier and more relaxed on the day. And PLEASE if the person is creative, just let them do their ‘thing’…Have an idea about what kind of feel or inspiration but let them just let theme creative something unique for you.”

When we asked what marriage means to this cheeky couple, we couldn’t have loved their answer more. “An expensive piece of paper and a giant excuse to dance, laugh and eat sugar with your best friends and family.” And why not!
