This European-inspired styled shoot took place at The Dairy Ravensbourne, a luxury wedding venue in the high country of Queensland’s Great Dividing Range. A stunning space with views we can’t get enough of, wow-worthy florals, and those Pinterest-perfect alfresco vibes, this light and bright shoot, captured by the talented Bronte McVeigh, is chef’s kiss.
Bringing European summer romance to life
When putting together the chic concept, stylist and planner Gretel of House of Harvey Co. was inspired by the romance of European summer settings. “Weathered stone, soft shade under classic umbrellas and that quiet, effortless elegance you find in long lunches and slow afternoons abroad. There was a desire to capture a sense of timelessness, but with a modern flair,” she says.
Wanting the scene to feel curated but never overdone, Gretel leant into “a soft palette of ivory and green, inspired by The Dairy Ravensbourne’s backdrop. Then, just to shake things up, added pops of electric blue, subtle yet striking.”
The styling details that made it unforgettable
The compelling textures, colour tones and finesse were a privilege to capture, according to photographer Bronte McVeigh. “The ice sculpture martini tower, bold sapphire jewellery and hand crafted wishing well added a sense of playfulness to the shoot,” adds Brontë. “And the sculptural florals that Elise from Elyssium Blooms created were beyond any moodboard we could have put together, they are a testament to her incredible floral artistry.”
Why The Dairy Ravensbourne is a Queensland favourite
Nestled in the breathtaking high country of the Great Dividing Range in Queensland, The Dairy Ravensbourne is all modern elegance mixed with timeless rural charm. For The Dairy’s team, the shoot was about showcasing the full potential of this luxury wedding venue. “The space is stunning on its own, but it truly comes alive when a creative crew brings their magic.”

Stick to a consistent palette and a couple of key textures or materials across florals, stationery, and decor, so each element feels connected rather than styled in isolation
