Say hello to one of our favourite designers here at Hello May, guys. Prea James Bridal, a local lass, who we have loved since launch, now has stockists all over the world, as well as her own flagship boutique in Paddington – no mean feat – especially after the year that was 2020!
Her latest offering, Embrace, is a refined collection of civil ceremony options to tickle the fancy of the bride looking for a more low key look for her wedding, elopement, registry nuptials… you get the vibe. Also for the unique bride just looking to make her own way in the world of bridal gowns, the non-bridal bride, if you will.
The six-strong collection boasts Prea’s signature relaxed tailoring with silhouettes that simply fall off the body in the very best way, chic lines, separates to mix and match and textures on tap – think crepe and feathers with stunning soft silks. Always keeping it classy, there are demure necklines, the highest, complete with a soft cowl lick and buttoned shoulders to ensure it is modern, contrasted with perfectly placed cutouts and slinky backs. There’s even a short, off the shoulder number that could double as a reception dress, rehearsal dinner, or hens party outfit. Sizes range from 6-18 (you’ll find a handy and very detailed guide here) and if you can’t get to Prea’s new boutique in Sydney, you’ll also find her pieces in Sphere Bridal Gallery in QLD and Mrs Fray in ACT.
