Part of the appeal of an elopement is it’s just so easy, right? It’s chill, laidback vibes, it’s low-fuss, low-key planning, it’s high on intimacy… and says “ditch tradition if them’s your feels” like no other kind of wedding.

Now, it must be said – you can wear whatever you darn well please to your wedding, whether it’s just the two of you eloping or 250 of your closest friends a the venue down the road. Remember, there are no rules around this, folks! You. Do. You. But if you’re going to be shoving your wedding-day gear into a suitcase (à la elopement or destination nups), a Cinderella-style ballgown might make packing an unnecessarily tricky task. Just sayin’.

And as for those minis we mentioned? Carte Blanche Bride is bringing the super modern suiting vibes with a tailored blazer-style mini (we can totally see this sashaying through a garden in Paris), while Ella Moda and Oleg Cassini are serving tradish lace in contemporary cuts.
