FAQ

What wedding packages do you offer?

We offer all-inclusive wedding packages for celebrations of up to 150 guests at our heritage wedding venue in Toowoomba, Queensland. Each package includes exclusive use of the estate, exceptional food and beverages, dedicated wedding planning, on-the-day coordination and beautifully appointed spaces for every part of your celebration. We’ve thoughtfully brought everything together so you can spend less time managing logistics and more time enjoying your wedding day.

What is included in your venue hire fee?

Our all-inclusive wedding packages include exclusive use of the entire Gabbinbar estate, giving you access to the heritage homestead, gardens, ceremony locations and reception spaces throughout your wedding day. You’ll also have the support of our experienced wedding planning team, on-the-day coordination, premium dining and beverage service, beautifully maintained grounds for photography and thoughtfully selected furnishings. Every inclusion creates a seamless experience from beginning to end.

Do you have wet-weather options?

Yes. Our team plans every ceremony with the seasons in mind.

However, if the weather changes, our team will guide you through every decision with care, ensuring the transition feels effortless. The Pavilion offers a timeless undercover ceremony space positioned within the gardens to capture beautiful breezes and panoramic views throughout the year. The Pavilion features soaring ceilings and three Austrian crystal chandeliers, creating an elegant setting without compromising the atmosphere of your day.

The Conservatory offers another beautiful option, allowing your celebration to continue seamlessly whatever the weather. Above all, our team carefully considers every detail, so you can focus on celebrating with the people you love.

How many guests can your venue accommodate?

Gabbinbar is designed to feel beautiful at every size. We can host weddings of up to 140 guests, though many of our larger celebrations sit around 125, and we often welcome more intimate weddings of 70–80 guests too. Whether your guest list is generous or intentionally smaller, the estate never feels too big or too tight. From garden ceremonies to canapΓ©s on the lawn and receptions in The Conservatory, each space allows your day to feel relaxed, connected and naturally full of life.

Can couples choose their own vendors?

Yes. You’re welcome to choose many of your own wedding vendors, giving you the flexibility to create a celebration that reflects your vision. We also provide a carefully curated list of trusted suppliers who know Gabbinbar well and consistently deliver exceptional experiences.

Catering is provided by Gabbinbar’s in-house culinary team, with menus designed around the finest Darling Downs ingredients and the generous hospitality our region is known for. From your chosen menu to the flow of service, our team works closely with you and your vendors, so every part of the day feels seamless, personal and beautifully considered.

How far in advance should couples book you for their wedding?

Most couples book their wedding 16 to 24 months in advance, though every timeline looks different. Some couples plan with as little as six months’ notice, while others secure their date up to three years ahead. The best next step is to book a private viewing, either in person or virtually. During your one-hour tour, you’ll walk through the grounds, explore each space and begin to imagine how your wedding day could unfold at Gabbinbar.

What is your booking process for couples planning their wedding?

Your journey with Gabbinbar begins with a private one-hour viewing of our heritage estate in Toowoomba. Walk the grounds, step through each space and begin to sense how your wedding day might unfold here. Whether you choose to visit in person or enjoy a guided virtual viewing, each experience offers a considered and complete introduction to the estate, our team and the feeling of a wedding at Gabbinbar.
If you decide Gabbinbar is the right fit, our team will guide you through the next steps and begin planning your celebration together.

What makes your wedding venue different from others in the industry?

Beautiful wedding venues aren’t rare. What is rare is a place where every detail has been considered so carefully that you almost stop noticing the venue itself. That’s what we strive for. The gardens, the homestead, the service and the flow of the day are all there to support something much bigger: giving couples the freedom to be fully present with the people they love.

What should couples know before booking you?

The biggest mistake couples make when choosing a wedding venue is falling in love with how it looks before understanding how it works.

Of course, a beautiful space matters, but it’s the team behind it that brings your wedding day to life. Before booking, ask about the planning process, staffing, food, service standards and what your wedding day actually looks like behind the scenes.

That’s why we welcome those questions at Gabbinbar. We’ve thought deeply about every part of the experience. Our planning begins long before your wedding day, with a dedicated team working alongside you to bring every detail together.

Can you customise your wedding packages to suit different wedding styles?

Absolutely. At Gabbinbar, every celebration is thoughtfully tailored to reflect the couple at the centre of it.

You can personalise your day through your choice of ceremony location, dining style, menu additions, beverage selections, styling, suppliers and thoughtful finishing touches. From outdoor receptions beneath festoon lights to champagne towers, fireworks, garden parties, personalised menus and even beloved pets, there are many ways to create a celebration that feels deeply personal.

No matter how you personalise your day, the care behind every wedding remains constant. Our planning team, chefs, waitstaff and wedding day hosts work together to ensure your celebration unfolds with warmth, precision and ease.
