On a trip to Japan, loved up couple (and work colleagues) Camille and Jesse took a stroll through the picturesque Shinjuku gardens, when Jesse suggested the pair take a seat to observe the view…
“Next thing you know Jesse is down on one knee shaking uncontrollably asking me to marry him. There’s a small debate about who cried first and supposedly I left him hanging for an answer in shock but of course it was a big yes and it was the start to an amazing holiday in Japan.”
Jesse of course maintains it was Camille who shed the water works first, however one thing the two can agree on was Camille’s love of planning, and within 12 months these two had a gorgeous Byron Bay wedding planned and prepped.
Having moved to the Gold Coast for work, the former Sydney based pair wanted a venue with great views, close to the coast and that ‘wow factor’. With a trip to the Byron View Farm, a stunning hinterland venue with views of, well, Byron Bay – the pair knew it was the place for them; Camille adding that their if it wasn’t for their fantastic planner, Che from Byron Bay Weddings, they may well be on their way to Las Vegas!
When it came to the dress, Camille had envisioned a lacy long sleeve number, however after trying on the Eve gown from our buddies at Rue De Seine, just like us, she’d fallen in love with the gorgeous New Zealand label.
There to capture the day was Blaise Bell Photography, who the couple couldn’t praise highly enough. “His professionalism and overall company on the day were beyond anything I expected…it was so clear that Blaise loves what he does and wanted to be there sharing those special moments with us.”
Of their stand out vendors, Camille and Jesse both agreed that their celebrant Katrina Holt was a one of a kind. “Her warmth and calm nature was infectious and helped keep the nerves at bay on the day.”
