Jorga and James are two cruisers with a passion for relaxation and let us tell you, we are picking up what they are putting down. When it came to their big day these two did things their way and we love em’ for it. Pouring all their time into sourcing quality vendors and skipping over time-consuming traditions, they managed to pull off the big day of their dreams in just six months. Some of our faves were in attendance including celebrant Kate Morgan and the good folk of Melbourne Entertainment Company. These quality pics? Adventurous lad Jackson Grant Weddings is responsible. Scroll down for the good stuff…
THE VIBE “The day for us was all about the words. It was important for us to share our story, our love and our commitment to each other with the people present. We wanted there to be a sincere, heartwarming and joyful vibe to our wedding, particularly via the ceremony and the speeches.”
FAVOURITE DETAILS “Hannah and the team at Van Gogh did an awesome job on the bouquets and buttonholes. James wanted native flowers and I wanted red flowers so we had beautiful big waratahs, proteas, roses and leucadendrons. Hannah had to search far and wide for those proteas because growing conditions hadn’t been as expected and they were in short supply.”
FAVOURITE MOMENT “For me it was walking out down the aisle holding James’ hand, looking at our family and friends who were clapping and cheering and smiling and just feeling elated that this man was now my husband.”
A TOUCH OF TRADITION “We included a family acknowledgement in the ceremony where we asked our parents to stand and Kate the celebrant spoke about the particular attributes we are grateful to our parents for instilling in us.”
STANDOUT VENDORS “We loved all our vendors. We didn’t bother with a lot of the stuff that is traditionally included in a wedding but instead invested our time in finding the right people for the key things. This really paid off. We got tonnes of positive comments from our guests about Jackson Grant the photographer, Kate Morgan the celebrant and the venue Rupert on Rupert and have recommended them all to others getting married.”
