It’s safe to say Olivia and Glenn lead very different lives in terms of their chosen professions. Olivia works as a veterinarian nurse whilst Glenn is an electronics technician for the Australian Defence Force. Despite their time spent apart due to Glenn’s work, the pair still found time to make the most of each moment, including a trip to Dubai that included petting penguins, indoor ski slopes-and an engagement!
“Glenn had gone on deployment for six months in 2015, and had time off in Dubai for about two weeks…A few days in, we had a day trip of going to the snow fields in the Dubai Mall, petting penguins and skiing…We ended up making our way back to the hotel and Glenn had started reciting a couple of verses from The Fault In Our Stars and then asked for my hand in marriage. The rest is history!”
As far as scenic weddings go, Liv and Glenn sure picked a winner. After spending a weekend wining and dining with “the oldies” on a south coast wine tour they fell in love with Silos Estate Winery and its picturesque views. Liv explains their day didn’t really follow a theme, other than to include colour. “I’m always known as the girl with the red lipstick so choosing florals in 50 shades of pinks and reds was the way to go.” She mentioned her favourite detail of the day being the incredible flower arrangements from the talented Moss Nest Weddings, adding, “everyone commented on the beautiful setting and how it was definitely a £liv wedding.”
To capture their day the couple enlisted the talented Alex from Olguin Photography. “Alex was very relaxed and happy with whatever we wanted to do. He definitely captured some great moments in photos,” including the moment Liv’s mum dropped a not so subtle hint about wanting grandchildren! During the mother of the bride’s speech everyone noticed her partner was absent…”Next thing you know, he walks into the reception dressed as a farmer moving a cabbage filled wheel barrow with a toy baby in the middle of it!”
