For well-travelled couple Jeni and Tom, the main vibe for their special day was laid back and casual. Tom popped the question in his soaking wet boardies after existing the surf at Ulu Watu in Bali. Whilst the sun set in the background, Tom liked it, so he put a ring on it!
This lovely couple focused on what was important to them for their nuptials, which ultimately was good quality food, booze, MC and entertainment to ensure their guests had a rockin’ good time! With a little extra detailing from their florist Poppies and Amber and their amazing stylist She Designs they pulled off a darn good wedding! And we’ve got the amazing photos to prove it, courtesy of on of our fave South Coast wedding photographers, John Benavente.
We’ve long been fan’s of John’s work. Way back when we first launched Hello May, (ok it was only 2012), John was one of the first photographers we stumbled across in the industry and boy are we glad we did! He is th master of capturing fine detail and candid moments and everything you could possible want in a wedding photographer. You can check out more of his work here on the Hello May directory.
Speaking of fine details, Jeni and Tom really did go above and beyond with the finer details of their wedding, including toasted marshmallows, sparklers, guest book with Polaroid’s and a great game to get the guests talking! Oh and if you thought that was the end of it, they also had a recovery BBQ and they did not lapse on the details with a drinks station including bloody Mary’s, Beroccas, beers and Panadols!
After deliberating on four different wedding venues that was in driving distance to Sydney yet still further enough away to make it a destination wedding’, these love birds fell in love with Melross Farm in Kangaroo Valley and never looked back! The blushing bride had Sheree from She Designs locked and loaded and ready for work before the couple even decided on this venue. Jeni said having She Designs unique styling for their special day was a must! They had a clear roof marquee complete with hanging greenery and lighting and French rustic’ styling.
Oh and for all you brides-to-be out there still looking for some wedding dress inspiration, Jeni had her gown customed made by the incredible Jennifer Regan .
