Remember this one from the Real Wedding Special? A series of hilarious moments played out during this pair’s engagement – from a pack of geese attacking them just moments after Barnaby’s proposal (which involved a romantic lakeside picnic), to realising they’d forgotten to organise cutlery for their reception £ ?.which would have meant that our guests could only sit and stare longingly at the food, says Hannah cheekily.
Fortunately the day itself went ahead without a hitch. Well, almost. £I was just about to walk into the ceremony when I realised that I had completely forgotten my veil. I burst out laughing and gave the thumbs up to my sisters because there was no turning back.
Held at Laurens Hall in North Melbourne – a former timber turning factory – they were both drawn to the idea of having a relaxed wedding with good food (including and most importantly, cake!).
£As our caterers were incredibly relaxed and accommodating, we were able to source our own alcohol and cakes for the day, so crafting extra elements of the meal was great fun, says Hannah who also enjoyed roaming around in her stunning Suzanne Harward dress.
£I bought the second dress that I tried on from Suzanne Harward! I just felt so comfortable in it which was what I wanted for the day. Buying the dress was really special, and although I didn’t think I was going to cry at all I ended up standing in the shop making the funniest sentimental crying face with my sister.
The entire celebration – from the ceremony at Planetshakers Church to the beautifully styled reception (check out all of their beautiful flowers!) was captured by Kim and Anthony of Lover of Mine who never miss a beat when it comes to taking the perfect portrait. £They are a wonderful duo! says Hannah who will always have great, lasting memories of the day she became Barnaby’s lady friend for life.
