Tomisin and Peter said “I do” not once, but twice – celebrating their love, culture, and community across two Perth weddings. Honouring their different cultural backgrounds, the couple hosted an intimate registry wedding for close family and friends, followed by a vibrant traditional Nigerian wedding with 220 guests.

During their romantic registry ceremony, Tomisin dazzled in two stunning bridal looks, and the couple shared a meaningful French ribbon ceremony. For the second celebration, both bride and groom wore gorgeous green Nigerian customs, highlighting their heritage and adding a rich cultural touch.

Capturing every magical moment was Perth Wedding Photographer Kirsty Tulloch, who beautifully documented both events with elegance and care. “Our photographer Kirsty went above and beyond on the day! She captured the most precious moments perfectly and made us feel completely at ease in front of the camera,” the couple shared.

Nigerian Wedding Celebration

The celebrations continued with a spectacular Nigerian wedding – a joyful, colourful event rich in tradition, music and dancing. From the gorgeous traditional ceremony to a dance floor that never slowed down, it was a celebration bursting with energy. Perth Wedding Photographer Kirsty Tulloch says she was, “over the moon to photograph Tomisin and Peter’s two unique wedding celebrations. Their Nigerian wedding was a feast for the senses, the colour, the music and the dancing were just glorious. The Nigerian Wedding ceremony is packed full of symbolism and meaning as well – it was so moving I was barely able to see through my own tears. The joy and happiness was palpable throughout the celebration. Their legal wedding was also a gorgeous celebration, they incorporated a very sweet French ribbon ceremony and it was an elegant and sophisticated affair that was still full of love.”

Cleary a day filled with joy, Peter and Tomisin tell us all about their fave bits below…

Inspiration for the Traditional Wedding

“The day followed the usual proceedings of a typical Nigerian traditional wedding. Most guests came dressed in Nigerian traditional attire and food was also traditional Nigerian cuisine.”

Wedding Dancefloor Fun | Afrobeats and Nigerian Customs

“The dancefloor was a favourite part of the day. The music played was Afrobeats and money was sprayed on us as we danced (which is a Nigerian wedding tradition).”
