Happy end of week, peeps. We’re finishing on a high with one of our fave brands Lola Varma as the pure powerhouse of a designer has recently launched an incredible new collection, My Paradise. Built on the desire to provide minimalist brides with effortlessly cool pieces to wear on their wedding day, Lola Varma has delivered yet again, bringing to the table a plethora of new gowns (plus a cami and pantsuit to die for, people).
“My Paradise, is a collection of romantic garments that were designed and inspired from a state of euphoria,” explains the founder, Courtney. “Paradise as a feeling, a place where we go in our mind and body when we experience love and romance.” Dreamy, right?
The styles and fabrics are always unique, luxurious and put simply, exquisite, from the 100% silk pieces that seem to quite literally drip off the body (in the very best way) to the low-slung backs that create just the right amount of sexy. Then there’s the sweet, strapless tea-length number for those keen to show off their ankles and collarbones – or make way for a statement necklace – and do not even get us started on the bouclé texture that is coming through – especially in that suit with its straight-legged pant and fluted coat tails. Everyone is doing the suit, guys. No one like this.
And that’s what we love about Lola Varma. Add in the somewhat off-kilter wedding styling – we’re talking long floral gloves, platform shoes with rainbow soles and dresses layered over pants – and you’ll see the unique, cool without caring vibes that simply ooze from Courtney’s designs and creative eye. She makes every bride follow suit by following their heart, not just in the partner they choose to marry, but how they express themselves on the day in what they wear down that aisle. If you even have an aisle… And hey, either is ok with us! Want proof? Don’t miss real brides donning this designer’s dresses in Justine & Gabrielle’s Margaret River Wedding and Casey & Cal’s – they both have rave reviews.
Getting down to the nitty-gritty, pricing ranges between $1400 and $5400 and sizing from a six to 20. If you want to head into Lola Varma for the full experience with Courtney, book an appointment at her Perth flagship showroom. She’s also got a glorious space in Melbourne now and is also stocked in the incredible concept store, Mrs Fray in Canberra (ACT) and Sphere Bridal Gallery in both Maroochydore (QLD) and Sydney (NSW). But first, do yourself a favour and scroll down for each and every look.
