As far as wedding day inspiration goes, it doesn’t get a whole lot better than fine dining by the sea. Like most couples, Allie & Omar had to postpone their first wedding date and opted for a “destination wedding without leaving Sydney”. They had some of the best vendors in the industry by their side helping to pull it all together including Blaise Bell Photography, responsible for the fab snaps you’re about to peruse. Allie snagged her Prea James Bridal gown from one of our fave boutiques, Hope X Page, and Omar sorted himself out with a dapper M.J. Bale situation. Enough from us! Scroll down for the details on this relaxed seaside day…

FAVE DETAILS “Florals provided my My Violet, I had found My Voilet on Instagram and fell in love with all her soft pastel arrangements. Myra is so passionate about her business and I felt so confident working with her. The florals had an English garden feel and I was blown away when I saw them!”

THE DRESS “I went to a few different bridal boutiques and found my Prea James Bridal gown at Hope x Page, seven months before the wedding. It was the most comfortable dress I tried on out of them all and I couldn’t stop giggling and dancing around the shop. Prea did it in silk for me and it moved beautifully!”

MARRIAGE MEANS “Marriage is giving each other daily life hacks on how to keep the apartment tidy. It means you get to care for, love and laugh with the person you want to be with the rest of your life.”

A WORD OF ADVICE “After one postponement we were happy to accept whatever card we would be dealt on our new date. All we wanted to do was be married and anything else on top of that was a bonus for us. The more you trust in the process and let go, it will always work out. It was the happiest day of our lives.”

WE’RE GLAD WE… “I’m really glad we did a rehearsal the afternoon before the wedding with our celebrant. Especially for timing the music and pace to walk down the aisle at.”

STANDOUT VENDORSBlaise Bell. When I first saw his images he was a non-negotiable for us. I loved how colourful and bright they are. He also made sure that we were punctual when moving between locations and have ample time for photos (otherwise we would have never left the ceremony! ) Kathryn Green perfectly set the tone of the day with our invites and stationery. She has such amazing attention to detail and knew the area really well when illustrating this. She even re-created some features of Jonah’s original menu from 1929! Taylah at Suukha– It sounds cliché but for making me look the best version of me! She creates a really calm environment to get ready in and really takes time to prep your skin. She also remained so professional and focused attaching my veil when I was running late to the ceremony ( and it stayed on ALL day) Rebekah Harp and The Graduates – All of our live music created such a beautiful atmosphere, especially coming out of lockdown!”
