A wise woman (this bride’s awesome mum) once said ‘you can’t have a meal without atmosphere’. Applying this rule to their day of days, Selena and Nic created a day that perfectly reflected them as a couple at Brisbane’sLightspace.
“We take great pleasure in creating and devouring fantastic meals in the company of our close friends and family and then smashing out a savage game of Articulate. So the vibe was just that – ensure food was plentiful and a reflection of what we provide/cook at home, and ensure the environment was as close to our vibe as possible by featuring fairy lights, fresh flowers, The Cat Empire and board games,” says Selena, who shared the dress shopping experience with both her parents.
“We (Mum, Dad and I) smashed out a HUGE day. Luckily, Dad created a scoring system to monitor everyone’s love/hate and rank the gold medal dresses accordingly. At the end of the day, Mum and I had a clear winner, and Dad’s hopes were dashed (I don’t know whether he will ever completely recover). Overall, Holly at Bella Donna was/is an absolute GEM and made all three of us feel special and made sure we really enjoyed the experience.”
A day chock-full of good times, great eats and some pretty adorable dinosaur cake toppers, Selena and Nic had quite a few vendors who went above and beyond. One being, of course, Hello May fave Luke Going Photography. “Luke Going and his wife Rosie were both absolutely phenomenal, they are wonderful people and they consistently went above and beyond, and also giggled with us through wedding planning developments/changes.”
