It’s safe to say that Sarah and Michael did things a bit backwards, having found their photographer, Lauren Campbell, and cinematographer, La Lune Cinema, even before landing on a venue. “Some of our favourite work of theirs was in set in forests, so we went about finding our own.”
They continue, “We looked at a few in the Blue Mountains near where we live, but wanted to keep it simple and easy for our guests.” An easy decision for the couple, Sarah and Michael decided to keep things chill and just go to the pub (Dove & Olive in Surry Hills) instead of having a formal reception.
A beautiful day filled with lots of love, the bride admits her favourite parts of the day included when she “happy cried” as a result of the gorgeous blooms by Merci Bouquet – an obvious standout – as well as her gorgeous gown by Lost In Paris.
“When I went in for my first appointment and tried on the Edwardian I was in love, my mum and I both cried. I worked with Alyssa at Lost in Paris to do a few customisations – I wanted my dress to have long sleeves, a higher neckline and a peep-hole in the back, so they made it just for me. I absolutely adore it.”
