Santanna and Riley did things a bit differently for their big day and we very much like what we see. Skipping the engagement part entirely, these two opted to elope with just three of their nearest and dearest in attendance. Santanna and Riley knew they wanted to spend every single minute of their big day together with not a distraction in sight (except for some rather large and fabulous cacti). THE VENUE “We had never been to Cactus County before our wedding. Our inspiration was Palm Springs which would have been our venue of choice had we won the lotto.”
FAVOURITE MOMENT “We both got ready together on the day before Riley left to go to the venue. He had his back to me until I got all the way up to him and tapped him on the shoulder. The look on his face and his baby blue eyes welling up in tears was the best moment of my life to date!”
A TOUCH OF TRADITION “I had my grandfathers photo on a little frame on my flowers and also some sprayed peacock feathers in my bouquet from my grandfather’s pet peacock that has been alive longer than I have.”
STANDOUT VENDORS “Our celebrant Leah Brady was honestly amazing. She was like a personal assistant, helper and friend. Cas, our Florist [Edward & I], set up the flowers, transported other items for me that were three hours away to the venue and even set up in the rain with no coat or anything before packing up in the dark. Also, Jackson Grant Weddings and Tango Films. They bounced off each other so so well, they were on every angle and every moment of the day and so relaxed it honestly made the biggest impact.”
A WORD OF ADVICE “We all had a few catch-ups before the wedding and I highly recommend a group Insta chat. We threw everything in the group and all got super familiar with each other which made us feel like family, which was everything to us.”
