It may’ve been challenging, but going from engagement to espousal in a mere three months meant Sally and Jono had no time to sweat the small stuff – like finding the perfect venue. “We took a step back and really thought about the type of places we like to go and Porteûño came to mind. We contacted them and loved it from the first time we walked through.”
The venue itself was also a great starting point for the colours of the floral bouquets tackled by My Flower Man. Gorgeous pinky, red proteas and dusky green gum leaves were the go creating a wild winter wonderland – which we all get to relive over and over thanks to legendary photographer Mitch Pohl.
With so many stand-out elements, including a delicious cake by All Things Sweet By Carissa, Sally needed a look that would be just as striking. Thanks to the talents of makeup artist Makeup by Megan, accessories designer Samantha Wills and The Bridal Atelier’s selection of gowns, finding the perfect ensemble wasn’t an issue. “I stopped in on my lunch break and fell in love with a long sleeve Rue De Seine gown.” Sally tells us. “My dad cried when he saw me in it so I knew it was the one. It was the first and last dress I tried on.”
