We adore high-school sweethearts here at Hello May, and Paris and Jack are all-time. “We started dating at the tender age of 17 and haven’t looked back,” the bride, who rocked a stunning Grace Loves Lace, tells us. “At first my parents weren’t too impressed that I was swooning over a new boyfriend during the HSC. Now they call him the son they never had.”

Their wedding on the Central Coast first appeared in the Real Wedding Special Vol 8 (You can purchase here – use code DOUBLETROUBLE) and we are stoked to be sharing the gorgeous snaps from Tess Follett Photography here today for Throwback Thursday! Start your scroll…

THE VENUE “When we decided to have it close to home, Bellbird Gardens was the first and only venue I saw. It was beautiful. BUT when the day came it was La Nina in Eastern NSW. The venue was too wet for our wedding ceremony so we ended up having it at my parents’ neighbour’s house! It is so funny looking back on it. It was perfect.”

THE DRESS “It was SO much fun trying on so many beautiful dresses with my favourite ladies. It’s really a once in a lifetime experience. I had a very open mind to what I was going to wear as so many people tell you “when you know, you know”. I tried on my first dress at Grace Loves Lace and as soon as tried it on it fit me perfectly. I knew it was the dress I was meant to wear. For my second dress, I actually tried it on purely because it was incredible although I had no intentions of actually wearing it on the day. When I put it on, my best friend who was with me and I were blown away. I had to get it.”

A WORD OF ADVICE I would remind brides that the week leading up to the wedding is stressful even for even most relaxed brides. Have people around you who you can delegate tasks to. Most of all, have FUN on the day. Soak in every moment and remember that everyone is there for you two.”

MEMORABLE MOMENT “Our wedding day was filled with so much laugher, and of course, many tears. We are both incredibly close to our families and our best friends and every speech was just so special. It is so rare to have a moment in your life when your loved ones are speaking to you in that way, about us and our love. We took in every moment. “

STANDOUT VENDORS “ALL of our wedding vendors were amazing. Of course, Tess our photographer was outstanding. She made everyone feel so comfortable. She immediately felt like a friend.”

MARRIAGE MEANS… “Being there through the rollercoaster of life, embracing each chapter together. Marriage means remembering coffee and cocktail orders and of course sharing food. Marriage is the comfortable silence when you need it most. Marriage is daily laughter… Above all, marriage means spending life with your best friend.”
