Nat and Ed’s ‘I do’s are really something special. A blissful, sophisticated bash nestled in the raw natural beauty of The Jackson Ranch – “As soon as we arrived, we instantly fell in love with it and booked it on the spot – it was just perfect!”

The vision, you ask? A big celebration with a touch of traditional wedding elegance. And the couple’s approach to making it happen? “Hire good people and get out of their way.” Good people like Matt Ashton Photography, the legend responsible for all those pretty pictures you see below. “Trusting the pros to work their magic,” the bride (who wore KYHA) and groom (suited by InStitchu) explained that their instructions to each vendor were simple: “create what you think best matches the space and our relaxed, yet elegant, vision.”

Needless to say, all parties nailed the brief…

FAVE DETAILS

“One of the most special parts of the day was incorporating my Serbian heritage. We had a fantastic Serbian trumpeter join us at the ranch, playing lively tunes during the old traditions. Ed, for instance, had to “bargain for the bride,” a fun challenge where he had to truly win over my family before they would grant their permission for our marriage. Beyond that, every vendor and the staff at the ranch made us feel incredibly special. It truly felt like our wedding was the most important event in their world, and we were the most important people. They went above and beyond, making everything absolutely perfect. I will also never forget the draping in the ceremony space; it was actually just magic!”

THE DRESS

“I’d always admired KYHA’s simple, elegant style, so as soon as I was back in Sydney, I booked an appointment at their Paddington store. I tried on every dress, and the moment I slipped into the two-piece set, I knew instantly it was the one I wanted to walk down the aisle in. In a funny twist, just weeks before the wedding, Ed’s mum asked him what he imagined I’d be wearing. He described my dress almost perfectly! He certainly knows me incredibly well.”

THE SUIT

“Ed had always been a fan of InStitchu, but he especially appreciated that they could tailor both men’s and women’s suits, which was perfect since two of his sisters were in his groom’s party. Given Ed’s background in the clothing industry, he was quite particular about the suits. The InStitchu team was fantastic, making everyone feel comfortable from the start and ensuring Ed and his entire groom’s party looked and felt their best for the big day.”

A WORD OF ADVICE

“First, the day really does fly by. So, make sure to schedule moments to just pause and take it all in. Even a few minutes alone with your partner can make a huge difference in remembering the magic. Second, on the actual day, you need to let go. You’ve hired amazing vendors for a reason, so let them do what they do best. Trust the pros, and simply enjoy every single moment – it’s your day to celebrate!”

STANDOUT VENDORS

“It’s genuinely hard to pick a favourite because our entire vendor team went above and beyond! Matt (Photography) and Isaac [from Bloom Films] (Videography) were incredible in capturing every moment of our day. Amber from Mrs. Gibbons Flowers is an absolute artist with her floral arrangements. And honestly, without Brooke from Paloma Events and Bianca at The Jackson Ranch, nothing would have been possible. The list of amazing people is simply too long to name everyone, but you all know who you are, and thank you again for making our day so incredibly special!”
