Elegant Noosa Wedding at Palm Creek Estate

After hitting it off in early ’22, Mikayla and Harry made it official in Noosa, Queensland—aka Mikayla’s ‘happy place’. The coveted Queensland region, specifically Palm Creek Estate, was a natural fit for this bride and groom, who envisioned a “countryside yet coastal” vibe for their day. “We immediately knew it was the one. It ticked all the boxes for us,” they shared. “We actually booked the venue before we saw it for the first time in person.”

A day chock-a-block with highlights and aesthetically A+ details. The pair told us that their exceptionally beautiful ground floral arrangement was a standout, as was Mikayla’s two-piece Grace Loves Lace gown. And their vendors? M&H loved them all, including photographer Janneke Storm, who exceeded expectations (nothing new there!)

THE VIBE

“Bright, coastal and fun – our wedding was exactly that. We wanted the vibe to be relaxed yet fun and bright. This is why our dress code was cocktail for our guests. We had our good friend Lucy from Lucy Crane Music sing for the ceremony and cocktail hour, singing all our favourite songs, and we had Mick Lindsay and his band for the reception, so we knew everyone would be up dancing the night away.”

FAVE DETAILS

“Besides the stunning venue, we were obsessed with the florals. We had a gorgeous ground arrangement at the end of the aisle, which we stood in front of, and after the ceremony, it was moved in front of the lake, where guests could get photos in front of it. Samia from Oh Honey Florals was amazing, and she was so great to communicate with. Coming in second was our giant disco ball. It was a huge hit with our guests. It created such an incredible atmosphere on the dance floor, and the photos look incredible. Who wouldn’t love a giant disco ball?”

THE DRESS

“I was obsessed with my dress, and I still am. My dress is from Grace Loves Lace, and I had my eye on it before I visited the Grace Loves Lace Boutique in Sydney. I went in thinking I’d love a more simple, elegant style dress; however, as soon as I tried on the Behati gown, I fell in love. I felt like myself, and so beautiful and confident. I remember having the dress on in the front area of the boutique, and a beautiful family walked past and got my attention, and two little girls had their thumbs up in the air and the biggest smiles on their faces. I knew this dress was the one. I love that the gown was a two-piece, which I hadn’t seen often, so I knew this would really surprise Harry, and it suited our venue and vibe perfectly.”

LITTLE LOL

“At our ceremony, we had two mini glass bottles filled, one with apple juice and the other with Fireball. Our celebrant handed us a bottle each before our vows, and we had to take a shot. Whoever got the fireball said their vows first. Of course, I got the fireball, and everyone knew straight away. The photos say it all, haha. This was such a fun and unique way to decide who goes first.”

STANDOUT VENDORS

“We absolutely loved all our vendors, but our standouts would have to be our wedding planner, Lauren, who went above and beyond planning our wedding. She was available day and night, and she was so helpful with making decisions we weren’t sure with. We also loved our photographer, Janneke and videographer Ellie from Dandi Films. These two were incredible and worked so well with each other. They honestly had us laughing the entire time. We were actually sad to see them leave at the end of the night. Their work is so incredible and exceeds our expectations.”
