Often the weeks leading up to a wedding can be quite chaotic, which is why Rob decided to prank his bride-to-be Meghan in hopes of lightening things up a little. “My father and father in-law arrived to my shower and said Rob had been in a fight. Rob came in just after covered in bandages on his head and his arm in a sling. I burst into tears and pronounced that my wedding photos were ruined,” explains Meghan, who was thankful it was all just a rouse.
On a more serious note, this pair had their minds set on the idea of a marquee wedding that gave them the flexibility to make it whatever they wanted. Byron View Farm was the winner. “It was the perfect blank canvas with so much potential for styling to transform it,” says Meghan who wore a beautiful gown by Karen Willis Holmes.
Captured by Nick Evans and Meghan and Rob wanted styling elements that would stand out to their guests. From The Little Events Co. copper mugs with signature cocktails, to large copper cage pendants hanging from the ceiling among floral swings by The French Petal and even a champagne tower instead of a cake thanks to Wedding Shed.
After all that was said and done, these newlyweds have one piece of advice: “Have lots of wine on hand and be prepared to threaten divorce before you’re even married. But among those weeks when you think you’re becoming an alcoholic, there will also be moments that the puzzle pieces come together and you can begin to see something of your imagination come to life.”
