In just five short months, Maddy and Scott forced themselves to be oh-so-organised and make decisions quickly. Lucky for them, the time crunch didn’t stop them from scouting some of the industry’s best vendors including photographer Matt Godkin (also featured here).
“I cannot praise our photographer Matt enough! It was so refreshing having someone who totally gets us. We have never had professional photos done so I was worried it was going to be awkward and posed. But we just had the best time and allot of fun, and he captured it all!”
Held at The Sebel Harbourside, the pair focused on creating a day that was unique, relaxed and fun, put on with help from Gold Wedding Hire and florist Freesia Kahlo. “Our florist was incredible and worked so hard to give us a magical wedding. Flowers are so important to me and Jessie understood exactly what we were trying to achieve.”
Though Maddy admits that deciding on a dress was one of the most difficult parts of the planning process (she ending up designing her own), choosing her accessories from Forever Soles (who you can learn more about here) was super simple.
Having pulled off one totally awesome day, Maddy and Scott leave this bit of advice for future knot-tiers: “Our advice would be to do it your way and get excited about every step together! Be resourceful! Save money and add some meaning to the flowers by using what you have.”
