After Mark proposed on a trip to Europe, these two wandering spirits decided to tie the knot at The Edge in Uluwatu, Bali. “This meant a few £planning trips to Bali!” says Lucy who clearly had her priorities straight from day dot. “For us the lead up was pretty laid-back and relaxed, we hired the help of Libby Doherty Weddings, she was absolutely fantastic and completely took away the stress of planning a destination wedding.”
Kyha from One Day Bridal also helped keep any wedding day anxieties at bay. “My sister got married in a One Day Bridal gown one year prior and I had met and dealt with Kyha at her fittings, so for me it was a no brainer! Kyha was brilliant, after sitting down with her for an hour she was able to go away and create my dream dress, it exceeded my expectations by a million miles! We ended up going with a halter style, backless dress made from a unique french lace that was completely hand beaded. Despite only seeing a some sketches of my dress, I found the whole process very exciting and stress free, which was a testament to the team at One Day Bridal.”
Mark’s reaction as Lucy made her way down the aisle was also reassurance that Kyha had done a standout job. In fact every aspect of their day was flawless – from their stunning photographs by Hello May fave The White Tree to their simple and elegant white and green decor. It helped too that everyone was far away from home – and all the responsibilities that go with it. Lucy tells us, “On the night, we wanted everyone to let their hair down and have fun, and that they did! We celebrated and danced well into the night, safe to say everyone ended up in the pool, including me!”
