Ok, you guys, you don’t want to miss this one! In the bride’s own description, “To sum up our vibe- it was dark, moody and edgy… Picture nightmare before Christmas- wedding edition.” If that doesn’t make you want see the rest of this wedding, we don’t know what will! So scroll down for all the dirty details and pics from photographer, Ring & Veil

THE VENUE “We fell in love with the first venue we visited – BrookLeigh Estate. It had a perfect little secret garden courtyard that was lush in greenery and flowers. Believe it or not everything was planned and purchased within the first two weeks of booking our venue [and] we spent 12 hours the day before setting up furniture, decorations, lighting and table settings. We wanted to make sure every detail was perfect.”

THE INSPOOur vision completely represented our everyday vibe. It incorporated our love for vintage and antique furniture, traditional tattoo/ Japanese art and fashion. We both love hosting events and bringing people together to create a cool vibe. We knew our wedding had to be an epic celebration full of street food, endless desserts, flowing Amaretto cocktails and the heaviest gangster beats the Swan Valley has ever heard!”

FAVE DETAILS “The table styling and the lighting from the candelabras, chandeliers and fairy lights glistening off of our antique/rustic place settings. The quirky and cool floral arrangements by Honey Bunch Botanicals and the personalised invitations designed and gifted to us by our dear friend Adam Truarn. Also, the traditional Japanese fans that we had for guests. We have now turned them into an epic piece of art in our home!”

COOL CUSTOMDavid is from Ireland so we decided to incorporate hand-fasting into our ceremony. This is an ancient Celtic ritual in which the hands are tied together to symbolise the binding of two lives.”

WE’RE GLAD WE…Only invited our nearest and dearest! Having a small and intimate wedding was the best decision we made! A lot of people say that weddings go too fast. For us, it was the opposite. We had so much time to relax, enjoy everything that we had planned and really party it up at our own wedding. We didn’t have a large group of people to entertain, only our closest friends and family to enjoy our time with.”

STANDOUT VENDORSEve from Ring & Veil photography and Sam Pettit (videographer). Both went above and beyond to capture all of the precious moments in our ceremony and reception. They really captured all of the emotion and love that surrounded us on the day. You can feel the love through all the photographs. We appreciated their patience, energy and commitment to getting the perfect shots and footage.”
