High school sweethearts Liz and Alex were together a whopping 13 years before finally deciding to make things official. “It just felt like the right time for us to be getting married. It’s about the partnership for us both. It was also a bit of a bonus having an excuse to throw the best party ever,” says Liz, who found her Delilah Fox and Catherine Deane at Sydney’s Babushka Ballerina.
“It was one of three that I tried on and I loved it straight away. I really wanted my dress to be comfortable and it was a party dress for sure! I wore velvet Chloe heels and bright, big Valere earrings to make it more me.”
Captured by One Day Somewhere, the bride tells us that there was no real theme for the day, but rather she stuck with her signature style and steered clear of anything matching.
“We wanted everyone to do what they did best and didn’t want to get in the way! From the invites, flowers, to ceremony styling, to the food and styling at the commons! They all did such an amazing job and we didn’t ever have to worry at all.”
As far as advice goes? Liz and Alex say, “keep it simple and stay true to what you both want! We are so happy that our wedding truly reflected us and we had so much fun!”
