“With majority of guests travelling interstate or overseas we wanted somewhere central and uniquely Melbourne,” the bride added. “We had lunch there to sample the food and booked the venue the next day. We didn’t need to look at any others!”
When it came to picking the perfect photographer, Laura explains that Lilli Waters of I Got You Babe Weddings was hard to pass up. “Lilli was the photographer for that couple (Kas and Luke), and I had been a fan of her work for sometime beforehand, we both just love the rawness and honesty of her photos.”
The pair agreed one of their favourite moments of the day was in fact the getting ready together part. “We ended up taking our dog Bruce for a walk in the morning and grabbing a coffee. This time together just set the tone for the rest of the day, calming any nerves.”
As far as stand out vendors went, Laura mentioned that if it wasn’t for the help of a lovely sales assistant from Nifi Bridal, she wouldn’t have ended up wearing the stunning Wendy Sullivan Reese gown. “I absolutely fell in love with it straight away and being nothing like what I thought I wanted, I would not have tried it on if it weren’t for her.”
