These guys consider themselves pretty darn lucky, when even though SA went into a COVID lockdown a month out from their wedding, they didn’t end up needing to change the date. Big win in the world today! Also a win was the fact that this meant their Sydney-based lens lady, Kristie Carrick Photography, could still be there to document the day and night. THE VENUE “We looked at a few places in the Adelaide Hills and instantly fell in love with the view and architecture of LOT.100. The food is just beautiful, too, so this made our decision pretty easy.”
FAVE DETAILS “I was blown away by the stunning floral centrepieces that Hygge created at LOT.100. They pulled our vision together so beautifully. We also loved that we decided to skip the traditional cake and opt for something which both Jack and I love to eat whenever we can – cannoli! Little personal touches like that made the day so much more special.”
THE DRESS “I was lucky enough to have my dress designed and made by lovely Amelia of Oh Beaut Boutique. She works out of her home and creates such beautiful pieces. She is so thorough and thoughtful with all of her work – her craftsmanship is second to none. A friend recommended Amelia and from the first meeting, it just felt right.”
MEMORABLE MOMENT “Was definitely our ceremony. We both wrote our own vows which we’re so glad about. It was just so perfect to have all of our loved ones be able to watch us say them to each other.”
LITTLE LOLs “My veil got blown out of my hair mid-way through walking down the aisle, so my dad picked it up and slung it over his shoulder and we just kept going. It was a funny moment that helped lighten the mood. Oh and our transport never turned up, so my dad ended up driving the bridal party to the venue! Wasn’t funny at the time but we can look back and laugh now! Thank god for Dads!”
STANDOUT VENDORS “Everyone was so accommodating and supportive, especially given the uncertainty that 2020 brought us. Celebrations by Penelope was an incredible celebrant, the girls at Hygge were superstars, LOT.100 was wonderful and Chelsea and Peter from Him & Her Music were a dream to work with and so talented. Jack and I do have a soft spot for Kristie Carrick Photography, though, we probably spent the most time getting to know her and she is just a beautiful person. She felt like a friend attending the wedding by the end.”
