After five years together and a 10 month engagement (after Renton popped the question one afternoon whilst ‘walking the dog by the river’) these two creative cats (India, a writer and Renton, a musician) tied the knot at High Church right in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD. Of their location India tells us “we looked at a few online, and it was the first one we saw in real life, but we knew it was us so we booked it straight away”.

With the venue sorted they went on to lock in one of our fave Queensland photographic outfits, Lover of Mine, who were just one of the many vendors this couple can not speak of highly enough telling us “all our vendors were so relaxed yet professional and approachable. Nothing was too hard, communication was a breeze and they understood us without us having to say too much. Pretty much a dream team!”

This low key urban wedding is proof that your wedding can be any kind of day you please. That it’s ok to buck traditions that don’t suit you as India, who wore a simple Lover gown explains “Don’t listen to everyone’s advice because everyone WILL have some; it’s your day so keep everything exactly as YOU would like it. Keep it simple. Remember what’s real and why you’re there”. Sounds like pretty damn good advice to us.
