We all know that Australia is renowned for its temperamental weather. One day could be bright and sunny while the next is dreary and hailing… which is why Haley and Gerard were a bit uneasy about their August wedding.
“We weren’t sure if it would be bitterly cold so we created the dress code smart snug’, planned warm coloured decorations and lights, a bonfire outside to toast s’mores and lots and lots of dancing to make sure everyone felt warm and cosy,” explains Hayley, who tells us the venue for the day was easy pickings.
Held just south of Canberra at Tuggeranong Homestead, it was the first and last location the pair had scouted. “We liked it straight away because of the country vibe and the flexibility they offered in terms of where we could set up our ceremony.”
Captured by All Grown Up Weddings, Hayley was primped and primed by Caleb Thrope MUA and sported an ivory Asos frock, unique compared to the typical wedding gown as this bride wasn’t really into the Cinderella-esque ballgown experience. “I was really happy with my choice and plan to wear my dress again.”
