Surrounded by 130 loved ones, Georgia and Hamish said ‘I do’ on Hamish’s family’s property in the quaint community of Warrandyte, Victoria. Personal and 100% them, Georgia and Hamish had a feeling early on that an at-home celebration was the right call for them. Specifically, one with sophisticated garden soiree vibes and just a sprinkling of rowdiness. “Classy, but also bordering on a raging house party,” they share.

FAVE DETAILS
“We had a table with all of our family’s wedding pictures, which was really special. I think being at such a special place – Ham’s home – was the most special part. The garden looked magical – I kept thinking that. It looked like someone had cast a spell over the area and that there were fairies everywhere, and love everywhere.”
THE DRESS
“It was from KYHA! It was literally the first dress I tried on. I rocked up to my appointment at KHYA accidentally supremely hung over. The first dress I tried on, I just knew it was the one! I tried on a couple more after that, but nothing else lived up to the first! So we bought it on that day – it was perfect!”
THE SUIT
“The suit was [Hugo Boss] just from David Jones. Again, a super-easy process! We went to Chadstone on a day in March, tried it on, and took it away!”
MEMORABLE MOMENT
“The ceremony was our favourite part. Standing up there in front of all the people who love us and being able to tell everyone how much we love each other was incredible. Hearing the vows for the first time was so emotional – it was such an out-of-body experience. That moment alone—the ceremony – was worth all the stress of planning the wedding. Words really can’t describe it. A close second were the speeches – they all rocked. None of them missed the beat. Hearing all of our favourite special people tell us why they love us was so special.”
TALK ABOUT TRADITION
“The gold from our wedding band was my Dad’s. So that was really special. He was also mentioned in a lot of our speeches. I think people get scared of mentioning people who have died, but I’m so glad we honoured him and mentioned him. It was really special.”
THE TUNES
“Aisle song was Georgia by Ray Charles (kinda cliche, but it was spectacular). We walked out of the ceremony to Can’t Do Without You – Caribou. We walked into the reception to Let’s Get Loud by JLO. Our first dance song was Give It Up by KC and the Sunshine Band. We have a choreographed dance we made up in 2019 when we were travelling together, so that was our first dance. The crowd went wild and sang the whole song with us. So awesome!”

“All of them! But the really special people were our event planner Caitlin (Paradise Hunter), Nikki (Nikki McCrone Photography) and our videographer Ruby (Down the Road Weddings). These three special ladies made the day so much fun. It felt like we were hanging with our friends and that they had a great time too.”
