Georgia and Dave met at their local gym six years ago and both knew pretty early on they were onto a good thing. Fast-forward to Dave “suspiciously” organising a Daylesford holiday for the pair, where he popped the question. “It was a lovely but freezing weekend. Our favourite part of the proposal was the steak dinner afterwards!” says the bride.

As for what marriage means to these two now they’ve gone and done the thing? “Dave likes to think it means he has sole rights to my bum,” says Georgia. “I like to think what’s mine is mine and what’s his is mine.” Ha! Love that.

We’re pretty sure you’ll be as blown away as we were when you check out the beautiful photos from this special day, shot by the talented folks at LoveGood Images, so take a scroll, get inspired and feel all lovey and gooey and great. Go on, you know you wanna!

THE VENUE “We only looked at a handful of venues. We wanted something with a relaxed party vibe – Nimbus made us feel excited as soon as we saw it.”

THE VIBE “We knew how we wanted the day to feel because we discussed what was important to us very early on. Once we had a venue and I had my dress (because let’s be honest, the dress is a pretty big part of the day) the theme of a retro garden party seemed to tie all of our elements together so we went with that.”

FAVE DETAILS “I loved my bouquet by Style by Ashleigh K. We had decided on orange, yellow and pink for the flowers but I didn’t know how my bouquet would turn out until the day – it just came out so beautifully.”

DIY “We sent digital save the dates and invites and printed off our own signs. We decided they weren’t something we wanted to put money into and in the end, we are glad we prioritised other things.”

THE DRESS “I purchased my dress online from Odylyne The Ceremony. I did take a perilously long time to find it but when I did, I knew I wouldn’t want anything else. Waiting for a wedding dress to be delivered was a bit nerve-wracking but it arrived in perfect condition.”

MEMORABLE MOMENT “We decided to have a ‘reveal’ before the ceremony so that we could see each other and have some photos together. We both loved having that time for just us – the day was wonderful but very busy and I think if we hadn’t had those moments together, we would’ve missed each other during the night.”

LITTLE LOL “My father’s date got a bit tipsy and ‘borrowed’ all our leased table décor at the end of the night (returned with apologies once she was sober, of course).”

TAKE ON TRADITION “My step-father passed only a couple of weeks before our wedding. It was a very emotionally difficult time for my mum and me. Dave gave a lovely toast to him during the evening. My stepdad always loved to give speeches so he would’ve enjoyed being toasted on the night.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “Luckily, we ended up with a fabulous team of vendors. Our caterer, Justin McPhail of Hustler Bendigo, and the owner of Nimbus Rooftop Bar, Rory Somerville, made sure we had the night we wanted. We were very thankful for them. And my makeup artist, Ashley Morales, is just amazing at what she does.
