Telling us of their engagement story, Ezgi and Vlad say it was one of the beautiful moments they’d ever experienced. “He proposed to me at our house and while proposing he made a speech as well. I never thought that being proposed to would make me cry but it did, and I cried with happy tears.”
Opting for a so-simple day, Ezgi and Vlad tied the knot in a small, intimate ceremony at The Old Treasury Building. While Ezgi’s family is based in Turkey and was unable to attend the celebration, the pair used technology to their advantage. “My family wasn’t able to make it to the wedding but they witnessed every moment of the ceremony through Facetime,” says the bride, adding that the amazing Elsa Campbell (who you can learn all about on our directory!) was there to capture all the lovely memories as well.
Inspired by their cultural backgrounds, Ezgi and Vlad landed on a mix of Mediterranean and Balkan styles. “We wanted to make it simple and natural in every way. That’s why we picked brown and green as our main colours, kept the number of guests under 40 and didn’t want to spend too much money on the dress and suit.”
And as far as marriage goes? These newlyweds say it’s all about “growing and sharing life together. Material things come and go but it’s the experiences that stay with you forever.” Amen to that!
