For Emma and Oran’s celebration of love, they decided to keep things simple and understated – focusing on the three F’s: food, family and friends.
“We wanted to make sure everybody enjoyed themselves just as much as we were going to. We didn’t really have any decorations other than a big neon Happy Days’ sign by the bar. We focused our energy on selecting good local wines and a caterer who served amazing food,” explains the bride, who raves about The Grub Club.
“Dougie from The Grub Club went above and beyond, providing all kinds of valuable advice, cooking up an incredible feast for us to sample, visiting the property and answering countless emails,” says Emma (who wore Rachel Gilbert), adding that florist Sass and Bloom and photographer I Got You Babe Weddings, too, were standout vendors.
“Lilli from I Got You Babe Weddings was wonderful. It was so great watching her buzz around capturing the day and night and neither of us noticed her even being there after a short while.”
As for the meaning of marriage? Emma and Oran agree, it’s about “sharing many blocks of chocolate together. Committing to being a team, laughing, crying and ticking off all life’s little boxes together, experiencing the lows and highs of the everyday and then talking about them over dinner. Being there for one and other right until the end.”
