As if writing one guest list isn’t hard enough, Bryce & Elly had to uninvite 30 of their guests just two days out from their big day (COVID, blergh). Whilst we are sure that wasn’t an ounce of fun, we’re mighty chuffed these two followed through. After six “incredible” years together, they sure deserved it! Now, best get scrolling because HM fave Nick Skinner Wedding’s snaps are a joy…

FAVOURITE DETAILS “Seeing the aisle backdrop set up absolutely took my breath away! As the florist [Flower Muse Styling Co] installed the arbour arrangement on the morning of the wedding, I was unable to coordinate the install. I solely relied on my hubby-to-be’s creative eye and he did amazing!”

DIY… “We scouted a lot of our decor and finer details of the styling, including the buttons for the groom and groomsmen’s shirts (we ordered 5 different types of buttons before I was happy) and the disco ball cluster for the dance floor (again,  had to order 5 different sizes and create the cluster ourselves). We also scouted our two pink velvet armchairs for a photo wall from hard rubbish which was honestly such luck.”

FAVOURITE MOMENT “I have so many favourite moments from the day but if I had to choose one it would have to be the aisle walk, for sure. Seeing my loves (hubby, our son Kaizer and fur child Saxon) all standing there waiting for me. As soon as I walked down the stairs, my son ran straight to my arms then proceeded to join us hand-in-hand for most of the ceremony. It was like I was marrying both of them! I also had heard my son had been a bit of a handful all day for my hubby beforehand, so seeing how happy and entertaining he was throughout the ceremony just made me such a proud and loved up Mumma.”

LITTLE LOL “Seeings that we had to cut our numbers from the guest list meant we had a lot more alcohol than calculated. So let’s just say there were a few very sore heads the next morning! Most of the guests were sporting stylish red wine stains all over their shirts and dresses by the end of the night! The fact that the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown was looming, everyone partied like the world was ending!”

STANDOUT VENDORS “Can I say all of them? I literally could not have scored better vendors. They went above and beyond to adjust and accommodate for all the pandemic changes that had to happen at the last minute and made our day run so smoothly! A cheeky mention has to go to our epic photographer, we are lucky enough to have become friends with Nick. He bought so many good vibes to the day and even joined in the party once his job was done. he knocked back a few frothies with us and the guests and enjoyed some tasty pizza! Another special mention to Sarah from The Old Church who firstly found us our second venue and then co-ordinated both venues for us and had to deal with the drunks, what a legend!”

What a day, huh?! If you’re keen to score some more Victorian wedding inspo, we recommend popping over here to check out Emily & Jacob’s wedding. But first…
