Since we don’t have a microphone, the only way we know how to get your attention is to spell the name James Frost. A legend in the world of wedding photography, this New South Wales wedding is one we’ve been very excited to share.
Claire and Berni’s country garden shindig was inspired by warm, winter colours and a theme titled “dark romance”. Claire, an interior designer tells us, “I wanted lots of flowers in different shades of reds, pillar candles and rustic DIY touches to tie in with the old wooden furniture at Mindaribba House“.
Stunning flower installations by Little Wren Flowers and festoon lighting created an exciting space where guests could mingle and enjoy themselves all night long, but it was Claire’s gorgeous lace gown that really caught our attention.
“My gown is very special to me as it was made by two of the most inspiring and creative people in my life, my mother and my grandmother”, says Claire, who also served guests her grandmother’s homemade limoncello and mother’s brioche. “I designed the dress myself around lace which was from my mother’s wedding dress. My dress is floor length with a full skirt of delicate ivory tulle. The tulle continued up onto the sweetheart bust over which I wore a separate top with three quarter sleeves and a slight boatneck neckline.”
Also choosing to design her own stationery, Claire certainly had her hands full when it came to styling their day but, as we so often hear, it was well worth the effort. “Marriage means sharing the rest of my life with the one person who makes me happier than anyone else in the world”, she says.
