A highlight for CC and Nathan was “obviously” the first moment they saw each other at the altar. “We felt so strangely calm but in awe of what we had created, and how special it was to have 80 of your most cherished people in one place,” shared the couple, who wed at Palm Creek Estate on the Sunshine Coast.

Befitting the whimsical garden party theme, these breathtaking blooms were understandably one of the couple’s favourite details from the day (well done, Olive Collective), as was Married By Beck’s beautiful, authentic ceremony, the gelato cart (duh), and CC’s “dream dress”, which the bride was stoked to find just down the road at The Art Of Bridal.

“Sneaking off during cocktail hour would have to be another of our favourite moments, CC and Nathan reflect. “I am so glad we chose [photographer/videographer] Wylde Folk Studio, as they made the entire day such a calming and not intimidating experience. It truly felt like it was just the two of us for those beautiful moments up on the hill capturing the sunset which we will always cherish.”

Photographic evidence of all this gorgeousness, plus our chat with the Mr and Mrs below…

High-school Sweethearts

“We have been together 11 years – high school sweethearts! Nathan asked me to be his girlfriend during lunch break at school. He got all our friends together to create a tunnel where he was standing at the end—definitely brought back all the feelings when I walked down the aisle!”

ON PICKING PALM CREEK ESTATE

“We had always wanted a local wedding and after our connection with Noosa it only felt fitting to have our wedding in the Sunshine Coast, Noosa Hinterland and we chose Palm Creek Estate. This was the first venue we looked at and the second we walked in we were met with the most welcoming owners, Anna and Austin. They truly put their heart and soul into their venue on their property and you can really feel the love as soon as you step into Palm Creek.”

PERSONALISED DIY WEDDING DETAILS

“.We made homemade limoncello as our wedding favours to complement our limoncello spritz tower. We made all our signage, our save the dates, invites, all the mirror and dance floor decals. We also created a bunch of linen signage that was on our welcome signs and our bars. My beautiful mother-in-law and I spent many hours creating the signage and it was a really special job that we got to bond over. We made a photo wall for our guests to snap polaroid photos, and we created a guest book that was a personalised deck of cards for our guests to leave us with a message. We personalised fans for each guest, which gave a really nice feel to our ceremony. We truly loved creating a unique day and incorporating so many DIY projects as now it is so special and uniquely curated to us and our love story.”

FINDING CC’S DREAM DRESS WITH THE ART OF BRIDAL

“My dress has actually been my dream dress saved on my Pinterest board from many many years ago, but was something that I never thought I would be able to get my hands on as I had always seen it overseas. I ended up finding the gown in one of four stockists in Australia only 40 minutes away from my house at The Art of Bridal! I booked the next appointment I could get and rushed my sister and mum there… The dress fit like a glove which never happens. I think we were all just as surprised as each other. Immediately it was love at first sight and I had absolutely found my dress, I pranced around in it for far too long, you could not wipe the smile off my face.”

A CHAMPAGNE TOWER DISASTER (AND HERO DAY-OF COORDINATOR)

“Our whole champagne tower was knocked over in the wind during our ceremony!! This was all handled very professionally by our co-ordinator, Simply Style Co, and we were none the wiser.”

Celebrating the Big Bridal Party

“We loved having a large bridal party! we had five and six of our most favourite people in the world up there honouring us and we couldn’t be more fortunate to share it with them!”
