Meet the lovely Caroline and Jared. These folks got hitched at stunning South Coast wedding venue Worrowing Jervis Bay and it was every bit as dreamy as they envisioned during their two years of planning. As you can clearly see in the pics (captured by our good pal Blaise Bell), the styling was a citrus explosion in the very best way. “Dany and the girls at Pia & Jade freaking killed it. I told Dany that I would like to incorporate fruits into the styling and for her and the team to just do their thing and have fun with it. And, oh boy, did they deliver!”
Plus, there were the classic minimalist fashion choices (ahem, gorg Lola Varma wedding dress courtesy of Mrs Fray) and exceptional on-the-day vendors, from Garnish Creative Catering to Jacqua Celebrant, gals from The Future Mrs on hair and makeup, The Vintage Stylus manning the decks, and Terrace Press bringing the stationery and signage. And those RUUSK rings – oh! “Hello May was my absolute go-to for finding our amazing bunch of wedding vendors!” spills the bride. “I’m pretty sure I just went to the online directory, searched ‘South Coast’, and then just ticked them all off from there!”
THE VENUE “We knew Worrowing Jervis Bay was our venue the moment we set foot on the property. We really wanted to choose a venue where we could have the ceremony and reception all in one place and the gorgeous bush setting, the reception area, the beautiful on-site accommodation and the amazing staff just blew us away! We felt so drawn to the property and it ticked all our boxes.”
THE THEME “We really wanted the day to have a relaxed, fun feel with a summery vibe.”
THE DRESS “I had been looking at Lola Varma online and their modern yet classic vibe was exactly what I’d envisioned. I was so lucky that their pieces arrived at Mrs Fray the day before my appointment! Amy from Mrs Fray was so wonderfully helpful; I knew I was in good hands. When she added the belt to my silk skirt and top ensemble, it had my support crew literally oohing and ahhing as I sauntered around the store. The Mrs Fray experience was second to none. The collection of designers and pieces available in their beautiful space is incredible! Our visit was an absolute highlight for me in the lead up to the wedding!”
COOL CUSTOM “My mum and dad walked down the aisle together first and I walked down by myself. Jared’s dad was our ring bearer, and my brother and sister performed as we signed our wedding certificate (with our mums as our witnesses). I was also so lucky to have the memory of my two nanas with me on the day in the form of my jewellery. I wore a gold bangle handed down to me from my nana and a ring (designed by Tania from RUUSK – who also did our gorgeous wedding rings) containing the heirloom diamonds that my other nana left to me.”
WORD OF ADVICE “Invest in and trust your wedding vendors! They are absolute pros and you picked them for a reason. Let them do their thing and they will make magic.”
STANDOUT VENDORS “Can I say all of them? Together, they made the absolute dream team, and I am so stoked we chose them all! I was actually so sad that I didn’t have a legitimate reason to continue sending them all emails after the wedding haha. Special shoutout to Jo and the team at Garnish Creative Catering for food that our guests are still raving about, Jacq (Jacqua Celebrant) for the most fun, personal and heartfelt ceremony that we could have asked for, Jimmy from The Vintage Stylus for reading the room like a pro and bringing the good times and killer tunes, Dany and the girls from Pia & Jade for absolutely nailing the brief and suffering my endless Instagram messages gushing over everything they do, and to our photographer, Blaise Bell, for the most gorgeous wedding photos I’ve ever seen – and for literally just being an all-round legend who we loved spending time with on the day.”
