From day dot, Aubrey and Julian knew what they wanted for their wedding. Held in Queensland at The Barn at Hillhouse, the pair hoped to create something a little different to anything they’d seen before. “I looked at every wedding I’d ever been to or worked at and tried to do the exact opposite. My main drive was just to make it unique,” the bride tells us, who wore a Le Rose robe before changing into her stunning Grace Loves Lace gown.
“I flippin’ loved it. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. I was so close to buying a dress from a different designer when I saw their announcement about their new collection releasing soon. I decided to wait and see if any of their new dresses jumped out at me. As soon as I saw the ‘Camille’ I knew she was perfect. I ordered my dress approximately thirty minutes after it was released knowing that I’d be the first bride to wear it,” says Aubrey, who hired stylist Twig & Grace and Janneke Storm to play a part in their celebration.
“Dezley and Michael from Twig and Grace went above and beyond as usual, doing so much more than what was expected of them,” explains Aubrey, keen to share her favourite memory.
“I think walking down the aisle is an obvious one, as well as the moments leading up to it, but it’s true, especially making it to the end and being able to hold Julian’s hands. Second place would of been the dance floor, I do love a bit of a boogie.”
