We’ve got a lot’a love for Bridget and Bryce! These cuties had their dream Perth venue, Guildhall, picked out well before Bryce popped the question, which Bridget admits she may have seen coming. “He’d commented on my nails four days prior, I’m no Sherlock.”

The pair marked their 11th anniversary by becoming hubs and wife, and they looked damn fine doing it, too. Bridget’s dress was giving minimalist elegance while Bryce donned M.J. Bale. The vibe was “a really big party” with good music, good food, and a good atmosphere.

What more could you want? Well, maybe a fab photographer like Flossy Photo to get it all on camera, some ‘something blue’ bridesmaids dressed in Bec + Bridge, and one cowboy hat-wearing golden retriever (no one was more excited to see these two tie the knot than fur-baby George). Get your Pinterest board open; we’ve got all the goodness from Bridget and Bryce’s big day below!

FAVE DETAILS “I’ll never forget walking into Guildhall for the first time that day and seeing what Clare, our florist, and Amelia/the Guildhall team had done with the space. I had been concerned the place would look slightly bare, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The entire area was crammed with flowers and it was above and beyond what I thought it would look like. Clare also kindly let us keep a collection of the small vases, which we still have!”

MEMORABLE MOMENT (Bryce) “I think our dance was my highlight. We had choreographed a short dance for the start of our first dance song (Young Folks – Peter Bjorn and John), and from practising at night together to doing it on our wedding day, it was just a lot of fun.” (Bridget) “Resisting the urge to say the family cowboy photo! But if I had to think of a more sentimental moment, it would be standing up together and sharing our vows. That was the most important part.”

TOUCH OF TRADITION (Bridget) “The last song played was Neil Diamond Crunchy Granola Suite, my pop’s favourite song. He passed away in 2017 and during the final years of his life he would often stay with my family, so being able to have this moment with my Mum and her family was so special.” (Bryce) “Both our grandmas were the witnesses for our marriage certificate, which felt very special.”

LITTLE LOL “My friend Georgia brought [our dog George] down to take photos with us (Thank you again, dear Georgia). To bring George down she changed out of her wedding outfit into sportswear but had forgotten her running shoes, so she was still in her high heels. As soon as they arrived, George was very excited and jumped all over Holly, my maid of honour. Flossy Photo caught this on all film and the combination of Holly’s face, George’s face and Georgia’s heels with bike shorts will forever make me giggle.”

MARRIAGE MEANS… (Bryce) “For me, it’s the ultimate commitment of loyalty.” (Bridget) “Bryce and I had been together for 10 years before getting engaged and prior to this, I didn’t feel that we ‘needed’ to be married. It felt like we had already chosen each other and he was already my best friend. But getting to stand up and celebrate our history as well as our future with our friends and family felt important and like the start of something. Marriage hasn’t changed our day-to-day lives, but it does feel like we’re closer than ever.”

A WORD OF ADVICE (Bryce) “Music is the most important part and make sure you have a moment where it is just you two alone to soak up the moment.” (Bridget) “The wedding list is by far the hardest thing we had to deal with. I thought we had nailed it and then found out after that comments were made about certain people not being invited. Pre-wedding, that would’ve broken me to know, but post-wedding, after I’d celebrated the way I wanted with the people I loved most, it didn’t bother me at all. Family politics can be hard (I have 20+ cousins), but put yourselves first.”

WE’RE GLAD WE… “We both put a lot of effort into our vows, proofread our celebrant Meg’s introduction, and practised our first kiss. To me, this moment was the most ‘wedding’ part of the day, so it calmed my nerves a lot [knowing] how it would proceed (excluding knowing Bryce’s vows). We also danced a lot and spent the majority of the night walking around together to talk to our friends and family.”
