Both actors, Ashlee and Keith recently prepared for the most important roles of their life – becoming husband and wife. “We met at acting school and a year later Keith proposed at North Head lookout in Manly”, says Ashlee. For their wedding day however, they strayed away from the water to scenic Mindaribba House in the Hunter Valley.
“We wanted it to be a garden wedding and to find somewhere we could use as a blank canvas and create our own style and choose our on caterer”, says Ashlee. To create their dream day, they brought with them photographers (and husband and wife duo) Rachel Kara and Tim Ashton and floral stylist extraordinaire Mikarla Bauer.
“The floral arrangements were so gorgeous. Mikarla made the venue look so perfectly wild and overgrown with vines and blooms”, says Ashlee who married Keith beneath a canopy of green leaves. “We had Pastor Solly Soloman come over from Africa to marry us. He is a treasure to us. He and his wife Sipiwe prayed for us during the ceremony which was beautifully powerful”, says Ashlee who wore a gown she designed herself and had made by Angela Osagie at Swish Bridal Design.
Later guests feasted on a banquet of locally-inspired dishes by For My Senses. “We had Moroccan day beds scattered around the lawn and I loved seeing people sitting under the stars eating dinner and drinking wine.”
